Happy Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!  Who would ever dream I would be in Malaysia on Mother's Day 2009??  I got up to open this darling skirt that Sarah sent me for the Day.  She made it!  White linen.  What a treat.  I was so happy to receive it.

Your great looking Father!  Can you believe how terrific he looks?  Happy Mother's Day to me!

In Primary, Mazura planned a special party for the children.  It was one little boy's birthday.

Everyone clapped and cheered as he blew out the candles.

Next, plates were passed out, and Jestina gave a piece of chicken to each child.

French fries came next...  This was a party!

And then, the cake...  It was a repeat of the loaves and fishes:  One very small cake...  40 children!

Miraculously, everyone received a taste!

The Mothers in the Relief Society.

The President:  Simia Solleh (Pres. Solleh's wife), Norlia Gaadong (one of our temple class members, a lovely, lovely woman), and another cake!

The little girl who has me so enchanted...  You know, the one I want to look like when I am resurrected!

  1. I just have to say how good you both look. The island air is suiting you both very well! And apparently so is the island food! I can't wait to taste the interesting food you can make us when you return-- I imagine a great peanut sauce will come second nature to you after 18 months in Bintulu. Love and miss you, Stephanie
