Driving along the road, we spied this kampong that appeared to be selling plants. We "veered" sharply off the road and down a steep incline to a wild set of buildings, but... with a few plants around.
Getting out of the car, we were met by a woman gesturing expressively, but speaking nothing intelligible to us. A very small man appeared. Big smile. Come come, he indicated. No English. We walked back into the jungle to find this quite remarkable nursery!!! This is only the main path. It went off into the jungle for a long way!
He was sooo excited! Pointing out every plant and saying, "You take? OK, OK, OK???" So we bought as many as we could fit into our very small car. He smiled. We smiled. Everything ok, ok, ok!!!
He was so cute; as soon as I asked for his picture, he pulled his shorts up real high!
